Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jim graduated from Cimarron-Memorial High School. After high school he attending the American Locksmith Institute of Nevada where he was professional trained as an expert locksmith. While there he completed all three phases of the course and earned over 1200 hours of experience.

Since graduating, he has been employed at American Lock & Key. Since early 2013 he has gained more job experience opening and repairing safes, installing and repairing both commercial and residential hardware, master keying and commercial door repair.
